CPD Presentations

VJT offer CPD presentations to customers to promote the correct use of safety critical anchors, as set out in BS8539.  We can support you with installer competency, to ensure the anchor achieves its required performance and to make sure you get it right, first time, every time.

• Introduction to BS 8539:2012+A1:2021 – Code of Practice for the selection and installation of post-installed anchors. The presentation outlines the roles and responsibilities of all the stakeholders, promoting the safe use of anchors for safety critical applications and the correct change of management for alternative anchors.
• CFA guidance to anchor pull testing – complaint to the current British Standard.
• Basic Principles of Fixings - fixing solutions for various building substrates, latest innovations in anchor technology - EN1992-4 design standard, ETA approvals, bad practice examples and DesignFix anchor software.
