Code for Construction Product Information (CCPI)

CCPI disclaimer: VJ Technology stocks both CCPI-registered and non-CCPI-registered products. CCPI-registered products are clearly identified by the manufacturer’s CCPI-numbered logo and relevant supporting information. For products not displaying the CCPI logo, no association or conformance with the Construction Product Information Code is implied. However, as a CCPI Approved Assessed Distributor, we do our best to ensure that the product information we supply adheres to the five acid tests outlined by the CCPI.

The aim of the Code for Construction Product Information (CCPI) is to raise standards in construction product information and marketing, and to drive positive cultural change in the manufacturing and supply sector. This is achieved by promoting clear, accurate, accessible, up-to-date, and unambiguous product information.

The CCPI assessment process includes critical components, such as Leadership and Culture, as well as ongoing Registration elements, which are not found in other assessments within the construction sector for manufacturers and their product information. These components, along with other aspects of CCPI Registration; such as the online Issues Portal; offer valuable assessment criteria and continuous engagement, helping users and specifiers gain more confidence that they are working with manufacturers and suppliers committed to continuously improving their product information. However, please note that conformance with CCPI is not a guarantee of product information accuracy and should not be used as such.

For us as Merchants and Distributors, the CCPI includes a four-clause code covering a range of responsibilities. These responsibilities include requirements to maintain audit trails for all product information, have a documented sign-off process, and establish a company policy and practice to promote the Manufacturers’ CCPI and assessment to its suppliers.

This mark means that we as a Merchant and/or Distributor of Construction Products are committed to the “Code for Construction Product Information – Merchant & Distributor Version”.

Independent assessment has been carried out to confirm that as an organisation we have the necessary culture and product information management processes and systems in place to uphold the CCPI, and that we will adhere to the clauses diligently and proactively, promoting and supporting the adoption of the Code with our suppliers and playing an active part in the continuous improvement of product information and marketing. As a CCPI Assessed Merchant and Distributor we also have responsibility to ensure that we clearly and unambiguously market those construction products carrying the CCPI Assessment Mark where provided by our suppliers.

Our on-going registration with CCPI supports driving much needed change and improvement. For the avoidance of doubt, construction product information carrying the CCPI Assessment Mark will be signified by the CCPI Mark (example shown below) carrying its unique assessment identification number and expiry date.

Please note, this logo only applies to the products covered specifically by that unique mark and identification number. This means that only this product information has been independently assessed by CPI Ltd as registered with and conforming to the Code for Construction Product Information. Any products which are displayed not carrying the CCPI assessment mark have not been independently assessed as conforming with the CCPI. This mark is not a generic guarantee and should not be used as such.
