VJT can now trade with customers electronically

In addition to the traditional methods used to place orders, VJT can now trade electronically in several different ways.

The 'Punch Out' process is very simple:

A VJT customer enters a purchase order onto their computer system.

When the Purchase Order has been completed, the order information is automatically sent to VJT.

The Purchase Order appears on VJT's computer system as a new Sales Order.

The Purchase Order is checked visually to make sure there is nothing that looks out of place, nothing missing and the correct delivery method has been allocated.

After the Order is checked, a Picking Ticket/Delivery Note is printed and passed to the VJT Warehouse for picking, packing and despatch.

An electronic Invoice can then be created and sent back to our customer, thereby ensuring that the whole process is seamless.

The 'Open Order' Method

• After an 'Open Order' has been created on VJT's computer system, each time items are 'Called-Off' an electronic Order Acknowledgement is sent back to our customer. 'Call-Off' requests are received by fax, phone or email.

The Picking Ticket/Delivery Note is then printed and passed to the VJT Warehouse for picking, packing and despatch.

An electronic Invoice can then be created and sent back to our customer, thereby ensuring that the whole process is seamless.

Advantages

Staff perform the same tasks as with traditional order placing methods. All electronic transmissions take place behind the scenes.

In fact, less work is required as there is less need for our customers to phone, fax, email or post their orders to VJT.

Duplication of manual data entry is removed. Entering of the Purchase Order onto the customer's computer system, and then re-entering the same information onto VJT's computer system is not a good use of time and resources. If orders are sent electronically the time taken and margin for potential human error is halved.

VJT's Technical Sales Team will spend less time performing manual data entry and will be able to focus on providing customers with technical advice, helping customers select the correct products for the application required.

Savings vary from company to company with one customer of VJT estimating a 50% plus reduction in processing costs.

Customer orders will be received by VJT faster and more accurately, in turn enabling goods to be packed sooner and reducing the chances of products being delivered later than the expected time.
