IT
Technology contributes greatly to VJT's service. In 2003 the company moved to Microsoft's Great Plains platform and upgraded this further in 2004.

With over 12,500 line items, up-to-the-minute inventory management is crucial. Our system is live so all orders can be acknowledged instantly and customers can be confident that when an order is accepted it will be fulfilled.

Catalogues are produced 'on demand' and are tailored to individual customers. Product illustrations can be included along with technical and COSHH data.

E-trading
V.J.Technology is at the fore in using e-trading within the construction and civil engineering supplies sector. Both Asite and COINS are integrated into the Great Plains system, allowing our customers to place orders electronically. In turn picking notes, delivery notes and invoices are produced electronically.

We are committed to developing and promoting high environmental standards in all areas of our business, which focus on reducing waste, increasing efficiency and continuously improving our working practices.

Health and safety
V J Technology is committed to the health and safety of our employees, customers and suppliers. All staff undergo training and are issued health and safety manuals on joining the company. Product training is mandatory and the whole of our technical sales team is qualified to instruct in the use of power tools.

Insurances
We have a commercial combined policy, employer's liability (maximum £10,000,000 in any one event) and public and product liability (up to £2,000,000 in any one event).
